| Glucosamine Sulfate combination is a formula that serves to strengthen thestructural system. Excessive damage to the joints (above and beyond normal use) coupled with the natural aging process, may result in the body having difficulty keeping up with repairs to connective tissue. This damage may be the result of repetitive use of the same tissue, excessive wear because of misalignment, or damage to the blood vessels bringing nutrients to the joints. When the body can not keep up with repairs, the cartilage and tissues continue to break down producing joint pain and stiffness and even osteoarthritis. Research done on glucosamine salts and chondroitin sulfates, substances found naturally in the body's joints, showed that glucosamine sulfate brings relief from joint tenderness,swelling and pain. Glucosamine sulfate is a naturally-occurring substance which contains vitalnutrients needed for tissue repairs. It is easily absorbed into the body and utilized by the joints. Glucosamine sulfate stimulates the body's self-healingabilities to rebuild the damaged cartilage and connective tissues. In tests, people who took at least one gram a day of glucosamine salts, condroition sulfates, or glucosamine sulfate found a dramatic relief from thepain of osteoarthritis. When the patients stopped taking these herbs, the relief lasted for six to twelve weeks. This combination also contains Una de Gato, commonly known as cat's claw, an herb which also treats inflammation of the joints.
