Thymus Glandular
Supplements with raw glandular and organ concentrates have been used for a very long time. The idea behind supplementing the diet with glandular substances is that the cells of certain glands and organs will contain the nutrients needed to nourish those organs in another person. In other words, if you eat cow's liver, it will strengthen your own liver. Thymus Glandular is a combination that utilizes this theory to help boost the immune system. It contains the following:

Thymus Substance: The thymus gland is in charge of marshalling the bodies defenses. It stimulates white blood cell and lymphocytes production. It is also a teacher of sorts, helping the white blood cells to recognize pathological organisms. Clinical evidence suggests that taking thymus substance helps to strengthen this important gland.

L-lysine is an essential amino acid (one that the body cannot produce) that is necessary for protein production. L-lysine is usually stored in the thymus gland. Its greatest claim to fame is fighting herpes and cold sores. L-lysine works on herpes by neutralizing I-arginine, the amino acid that herpes feeds on. It aids in the production of antibodies and helps calcium absorption.

Spleen Substance: The spleen is the largest organ of the lymph system. White blood cells are both produced and stored in the spleen. The spleen substance itself has shown antiviral properties and has been used specifically for Hodgkin's disease for nearly seventy years. It may also be effective in protecting the skin, the spleen and the bone marrow from radiation.

Lymph Substance: Lymph is what flows from each of the cells to the spleen to be cleansed of toxins deposited by the cells. The lymphatic system is part of the immune system, too, helping the body to fight infection. Lymph substance is used to strengthen the lymph system.

Bone Marrow Substance: Even before the recent application of bone marrow transplants, bone marrow concentrate had been used to restore immune function, since 1896. Bone Marrow Substance can boost the immune system and provide protection from radiation. Bone marrow substance supplies the nutrients found in bone marrow.

Pituitary Substance: The pituitary gland is the one the tells the other glands what to do and when to do it. It secretes hormones to the thyroid, testes/ovaries as well as trigger milk production, sperm and egg production and growth hormone. Without a healthy pituitary, the other glands do not function properly. Pituitary substance helps to nourish this gland.

Echinacea purpurea is a very common immune herb. This purple flower is included in many formulas, especially with golden seal. for colds, flu, snake bites, infections, boils and syphilis.

Golden Seal has antibiotic properties. It influences the liver and promotes and stronger immune system. It is used in combination with Echinacea purpurea for all types of viral diseases.

Cat's Claw or Una de Gato is a Peruvian vine with claw like hooks. It has been used by Peruvians for cancer, arthritis, rheumatism, herpes, allergies and asthma.

Thymus Glandular is available in capsule form and it is suggested to take two capsules with two meals daily.
